Beauty Essay
Beauty is a subjective term used to describe the aesthetic qualities of things. These things can be viewed from an object’s point of view or from the viewers’ point of view. Beauty is commonly defined as a distinguishing feature of particular objects, which makes these objects aesthetically pleasing to see. These objects may include sunsets, landscapes, humans and artistic works of art. Beauty, along with beauty and art, is the most prominent topic of aesthetics, among the various branches of social and physical science.
The word ‘beauty’ has various meanings depending on the context it is used in. In some contexts beauty is considered to be merely the absence of defects; in other contexts it is considered to be the quality or form of beauty. Another way of looking at beauty is to compare it with the aesthetic object around us, for example, the beautiful star above our head. Beauty is therefore seen as a quality, an object created by men and women to meet and surpass our basic needs for existence.
An aesthetic beauty essay is written on the theme of beauty as perceived by an aesthetic sense. It may be in the form of an essay about beauty, or it may be about beauty in the human form. This essay will present various aesthetically appealing arguments and illustrations, taking account of both current and past periods. This essay may argue that while beauty might exist in nature, it is only in relation to man-made beauty. And that whereas beauty has been an intrinsic aspect of aesthetic perception since the time of the ancient Greeks, our culture has developed particular and increasingly sophisticated concepts of beauty that are often far removed from the original, intuitive concept of beauty expressed by our prehistoric ancestors.
